Hi, there I'm so glad you stopped by and you want to find out about me.
Well let me tell you a little about myself
I’m a healthcare professional turned pastry chef that took my passion for baking that I learned from my family at the age of 13. Then I continued to challenge myself to learn how to create cake art in my early 20’s.
My cultural upbringing of hailing from St.Thomas, USVI, and growing up in the DMV region helped me to formulate my flavor profiles for the inception of Sweet Intuition, LLC. All of which came from me being born out of adversity. Overcoming many heart-wrenching obstacles in life made me very passionate about inspiring others to know they can overcome any obstacles they face in life.
I've simply taken that pain & turned it into purpose.
I've always gravitated toward all things creative and my passion for dessert creation became my glass slipper. A glass slipper that I would use to decompress from my hectic life. After becoming a single mother and changing career paths. I needed to make ends meet to provide for my child and myself. So, this glass slipper became my side hustle. As the word of mouth from my products grew it fueled the birth of Sweet Intuition. I launched it into a full-time business during this current pandemic.
We offer a range of products from handcrafted sprinkles, cupcakes to so much more that spread this uniquely cool sense of family, fun, love, and light while providing delicious classic, tropical and global flavors remixed our way. While incorporating ingredients that are carefully sourced locally and abroad for our products.
In addition to being able to come up with unique concepts and flavor profiles for our desserts. I've briefly outlined relevant industry work experience out of my 21 years of varied extensive work experience.
18 years of service-focused experience
15 years of informal baking experience
10 years of informal cake decorating experience
11 years of strong interpersonal skills
7 years of front-of-the-house (FOH) & some back-of-the-house (BOH) restaurant experience.
11 years of administration/coordinator experience.
Extensive knowledge of business and management principles involving strategic planning, resource allocation, Human Resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
4 years of inventory management experience
Current pastry chef student in progress to receive credentialing.
Member of relevant food associations.
My staff and I are always in possession of all current proper licensures to safely create your delicious treats.
With the current climate of our country, it’s so very important to keep revenue flowing back into the DMV by building relationships with other businesses and farmers that utilize sustainable farming practices.
